Dr. Sonia Dahiya
- Dr. Sonia Dahiya, an Assistant Professor turned agripreneur, brings over five years of hands-on experience in mushroom farming.
- Alongside her husband, Dr. Vijay Dahiya, she owns and operates Dr. Dahiya Mushroom Farm in Sonipat, Haryana.
- Known as the "Mushroom Lady of Haryana," Dr. Sonia holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, combining deep scientific expertise with practical farming skills.
- Passionate about community upliftment, she actively trains and empowers rural women through mushroom farming and skill development programs.
- Her exemplary work earned her an award from the Chief Minister of Haryana on March 23, 2025, at the Vegetable Expo held in Gharaunda, Karnal.
Dr. Vijay Dahiya
- Dr. Vijay Dahiya holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics and after years in education, he started mushroom farming with his wife, Dr. Sonia Dahiya.
- At Dr. Dahiya Mushroom Farm in Sonipat, he focuses on the business side of operations – scaling production, building sales strategies, and more.
- He also guides aspiring agripreneurs on how to turn mushroom farming setups into sustainable income sources.
