Dr. Sonia Dahiya, an Assistant Professor turned agripreneur, brings over five years of hands-on experience in mushroom farming.
Alongside her husband, Dr. Vijay Dahiya, she owns and operates Dr. Dahiya Mushroom Farm in Sonipat, Haryana.
Known as the “Mushroom Lady of Haryana,” Dr. Sonia holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, combining deep scientific expertise with practical farming skills.
Her exemplary work earned her an award from the Chief Minister of Haryana on March 23, 2025, at the Vegetable Expo held in Gharaunda, Karnal.

Dr. Vijay Dahiya holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics and after years in education, he started mushroom farming with his wife, Dr. Sonia Dahiya.
